BILL PAY AND NETTELLER UPDATE

Netteller is back on line with very little interrupted service.
If for some reason Netteller is not available you can still access your bill pay account by entering the following address. https://www1.mycubp.com/coastlandfcu/Site/welcomeie.asp. You must be signed up for the bill pay program in order to access this website. Your signon screen will appear and you can continue by entering your ID and Password.

DORMANT FEES

Effective May 1, 2008, Coastland will begin assessing fees for dormant accounts. This applies only to savings accounts.
Below is a list of excluded accounts.

1. Savings Accounts over $200.
2. Savings Accounts for members under the age of 18.
3. Savings Accounts for members 65 and over.
4. Members that have outstanding loans, or multiple savings accounts that combined are over $200. This also includes accounts you are joint on.
5. A dormant account can also be remedied by just simply contacting the credit union once a year and having someone update the contact date which removes the account from the dormant status. It is best to handle it by correspondence, but an employee can verify your identity over the phone and make the necessary update.

These steps are taken to stay in compliance with Louisiana State Laws regarding dormant accounts. We are working to educate our members on how they can avoid haveing their funds sent to the state. After a period of time the state considers these dorman accounts as unclaimed property.
All of our members can fall into one of the categories above. Option 5 covers everyone. By contacting the credit union they will avoid dormant fees all together.

We would rather see you save the money than us have to assess the account fees to be in compliance with the state.

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTY WITH YOUR CARD DUE TO A BLOCK ON THE CARD, YOU CAN VERIFY THAT INFORMATION AT THE SAME NUMBERS. IF SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY WAS SUSPECTED ON YOUR ACCOUNT, THE ACCOUNT COULD HAVE A TEMPORARY BLOCK UNTIL SOMEONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO REACH YOU AND VERIFY THE TRANSACTIONS.
