Agreement

Please take a moment to read these terms carefully, and print a copy for your records. By accessing any page of our online services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1.          Agreement: Accessing your account through Coastland FCU NetTeller confirms your agreement to be bound by all disclosures and agreements, and acknowledges your receipt and understanding of this agreement.

2.          Eligibility: In order to participate in Coastland FCU’s NetTeller you must be a primary owner of at least one active checking account. If you request additional primary or joint accounts to be added to your NetTeller access, you must have full signing authority on those accounts. Only an owner or joint owner may authorize payment or transfer payment from any accounts tied to NetTeller. You will be given an ID and PIN for accessing your credit union account(s) through NetTeller. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN in order to maintain the security of your account. Coastland FCU is not responsible for unauthorized disclosure of your PIN or unauthorized use of the NetTeller services by a person utilizing your PIN. You agree to release and waive any claims against Coastland FCU based on such unauthorized use. If there is any change of ownership of any such account(s), notification must be immediately provided to Coastland FCU.

3.          Computer Requirements: You need a computer, related equipment, and an Internet connection in order to use NetTeller. In addition, you need to install Internet browser software on your computer if you do not already have it. Modifications to the services in the future may require installation of upgrades to the browser's software. You are responsible for installation, maintenance, and operation of your browser's software.

4.          Business Days:  The service is generally available 24 hours a day, seven days a week; however, the service will be unavailable from 2 a.m. Sunday to 4 a.m. Sunday for computer maintenance and may be unavailable other times for routine software and hardware maintenance or due to unscheduled down time. We only process transactions and update information on business days.  Our business days are Monday through Friday.  Transfers between Coastland FCU accounts made after 3:30 p.m. will be processed on next day business day.  Credit Union Holidays are not included.

5.          You have the right to terminate NetTeller services at any time upon delivery of written notice to Coastland FCU. Coastland FCU has the right to terminate its obligation to provide NetTeller services to you upon ten days of prior written notice.

6.          Documentation:

Confirmation Number:  A confirmation number will be assigned to each NetTeller funds transfer at the time you submit the request.  You are encouraged to document the number provided for future reference.

a.                                  Periodic Statement:

You will get a monthly share draft statement from us.  For all other accounts you will receive a statement quarterly.  All NetTeller transfers effected during that statement period will be reflected on your statement.

b.                                  Direct Deposit:

If you have arranged to have direct deposits made to your designated account, you can call us at (888) 561-5610 or use NetTeller to find out whether or not the deposit has been made.

7.          UNAUTHORIZED TRANACTIONS OR LOSS OR THEFT OF YOUR INTERNET BANKING IDENTIFICATION NUMBER OR PASSWORD.  

If you believe your Internet Banking identification number, password or other means of access have been lost or stolen or that someone has used them without your authorization, call us immediately at (504) 834-2780 during normal business hours, after hours you may email us at CoastlandFCU@Juno.com, or write to us at 2644 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA  70002 to report the situation.  Quickly telephoning us is the best way of reducing your possible losses.  Not all emails arrive at their destinations.  We will send an email back to you as confirmation that we received your message.  Because the Internet is not secure from being read by just anyone, do not include any of your account or social security numbers with your email.  Please include a brief message describing the situation.

8.          You understand and agree that Coastland FCU may refuse any NetTeller transaction that results in a negative account balance. Your overdraft protection does not apply to your NetTeller access.

9.          OUR LIABILITY FOR FAILURE TO COMPLETE PAYMENTS OR TRANSFERS

If we do not complete a payment or transfer on time or in the correct amount according to our agreement with you, we will be liable for your losses only to the extent of the amount of payment or transfer that should have occurred if we are unable to resolve the problem.  However, there are exceptions.  WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE, FOR INSTANCE:

·                                    If, through no fault of ours, you do not have enough available funds in the account from which a payment or transfer is to be made, or if the account has been closed or is not in good standing, or if we reverse a payment or transfer because of insufficient funds.

·                                    If any payment or transfer would go over the credit limit or available collected balance of any account.

·                                    If your equipment or ours was not working properly and the breakdown should have been apparent to you when you attempted to conduct the transaction.

·                                    If you have not given us complete, correct or current account numbers or other identifying information so that we can properly credit your account, another person’s/businesses account or otherwise complete the transaction.

·                                    If you do not properly follow our instructions or if you provide us with wrong or inaccurate information of fail to correct or tell us about any inaccuracy of which you are aware.

·                                    If you do not instruct us soon enough for your payment or transfer to be received, sent and/or debited or credited by the time it’s due.

·                                    If the money in the account from which a payment or transfer is to be made is subject to legal process or any hold or block or other claim restricting the transaction or account.

·                                    If circumstances, such as but not limited to, computer, telephone line or electrical failure, acts or nature, civil disturbances, suspension of banking hours or other such circumstances, or persons beyond our control prevent, delay intercept or alter the transaction, despite reasonable precautions that we have taken.

10.       The NetTeller access is provided free of monthly charges except for fees associated for stop payment orders.  Coastland FCU has the right to amend these terms from time to time effective upon publication including posting on our Internet Web site.

11.       New Services: Coastland FCU may, from time to time, introduce new NetTeller Services. We shall update this NetTeller Agreement to notify you of the existence of these new services. By using these services when they become available, you agree to be bound by the rules contained in the NetTeller Agreement.

12.       You agree to waive and release any claims against Coastland FCU arising out of or in anyway related to NetTeller services, except for those claims resulting solely from the negligent acts or omissions of the credit union.

13.       The fees you incur for Internet access shall be your sole responsibility.

14.       It is your sole responsibility to insure your personal computer and related equipment are compatible with and capable of operating in a manner that allows you to utilize NetTeller services.

15.       E-mail: Sending e-mail through Coastland FCU NetTeller is a way to communicate with the credit union. We ask that you use e-mail when asking specific questions about your account(s) or NetTeller services. You cannot use e-mail to initiate transactions on your account(s). For transactions, please use the appropriate functions within Coastland FCU NetTeller.

16.       Written notice may be accomplished by e-mail notice and/or mailings to members at the last known e-mail or public address.
